How long will it take for me to heal/feel better?

Most clients experience life-changing relief in 2-3 sessions; however Troy cannot guarantee this will apply to you. Your treatment is created on the spot by Troy and is entirely customized to your needs.

It also depends on how many issue(s) you are asking him to treat. Some conditions require lifestyle changes including: different shoes, changes in nutrition, special exercises, a different pillow, eye exercises, etc., all of which change healing and reaction time.

Protoform Intervention is a journey, not a 1st session guaranteed fix.  P.I. is an adaptive formula, a collaborative process, and a commitment to well being.  Each person’s path to re-balancing the mind-body is unique, and there is no true way to standardize such a process. It is an organic evolution that requires dedication and care from both practitioner and client. What I can guarantee is a full commitment to offering my best knowledge and wisdom, grounded in years of experience.

Will the treatment ‘hold’ for more than a week?

Depending on the severity of your issue/trauma, P.I. usually holds. This will also depend on how quickly you resume certain physical activities and life patterns. Sometimes Troy is unable to finish the treatment plan he has planned mapped out for you in the initial P.I. visit and requires a follow-up visit as soon as possible to complete more the necessary work.  Another important aspect that maintains the results of each P.I. session is if you follow through and do the assigned stimulations that Troy tailors to each clients specific needs as Troy will tell you they are essential in most peoples cases for the process to reach the fullest desired result.  Stay regimented about doing the maintenance!

Why do sessions sometimes run over?

Troy makes every effort to finish his 1 hour sessions on time, but since he customizes his treatment for every client and needs to test and re-test muscles to be sure they are correctly activated, sometimes this takes more time.

We ask that you allow at least 15 min on either side of a session for flexibility.

Why should I not wear orthotics?

Troy says that orthotics hold or confine the foot to one position and do not allow it to flex and move naturally, which is essential/ necessary to improve/treat any number of issues he may treat. He also believes that the foot needs to always be free, be close to the ground with a soft, thin-soled shoe, so that it can interact/ react fully with the ground.

May I order the supplements and other items Troy recommends online?

At some point in the future this may be feasible; however it is likely that you will still have to pick them up at the studio.  Please be sure to ask him for his specific recommendations for supplements and the related protocols.



Appointment FAQ

How do I make an appointment?

The fastest way to set up an appointment is to contact Jacob, ASG’s scheduling manager, by email or phone. He will assist you in booking and preparing for your sessions with Troy.

How do I cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must contact Jacob. Please understand that texting or calling Troy does not qualify as timely notification.

What if I am cancelling late?

ASG has a strict 48 hour cancellation policy for all regular sessions; late cancellations incur a late charge, no exceptions. You must notify us in writing by email if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, texting Troy does not count. You will receive a full breakdown of cancellation prices once you book a session.

Why can’t I book just a consultation?

It is theoretically possible to be seen just for evaluation, but if you’re coming in anyway, he would prefer to begin treating you immediately and discuss in depth your issues and goals. The evaluation fee cannot be applied to the fee for the first 90 min session, so it seems a bit foolish to spend the time and money and not go home feeling better!

May I have a session that is longer than an hour?

If Troy deems it necessary and the schedule allows, you may have a longer session. Your fee for the session will increase commensurately.

Why can’t I see Troy more often?

We try to accommodate the needs of all our clients. Given that Troy only works two days a week in NYC and some clients book regular sessions for the year, we do our best to fit everyone in. If you can plan weeks/months in advance, the range of choices for time and day is much larger.

Why does Troy not take credit cards or insurance?

As with many specialized holistic practices of this kind, the paperwork and time required for accepting credit cards would take away from treatment time and be an unnecessary distraction for Troy. Insurance requires even more paperwork and a constant updating of treatment codes. For now, the practice does not have the staff or the time to deal with the paperwork required. You may request a PDF receipt (available if you have had 2+ sessions) which you may submit to your insurance, but we cannot guarantee it will be accepted.
